An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to find that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire. With the remake of Salem’s Lot making vampires scary again. He wants to get away from the sexier, more romantic undead that have infested pop culture for much of the past quarter-century, thanks to everything from Interview with the Vampire to Twilight to The Vampire Diaries as the book. Mark’s night-light is a Batman night-light that uses a 1989 Batman logo. Correction: The story is set in 1975. The style of Mark’s Batman light is similar to the 1989 style, but 1974 Batman toys show that the same style was also used in 1975. References Trog (1970). It really needs to be an 8-10 hour miniseries. That way the characters could be explored better. We’d have more interest in the story and lore. I felt like the actors did well with what they were given. All of the leads did a good job of conveying their characters’ motivation, considering the brevity of the film. The heroes of the story are good. I loved the teacher, as well as the two main leads and the little boy who showed no fear. Was it perfect? Drinking. But. The effects were well done. Though they should have waited for the big reveal until later in the story. Other than that. A solid movie. Again. Looking for something different to add to your watchlist?
